Dr. Nicole Machinski is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in forensic assessment and consultation. Dr. Machinski earned a Bachelors degree in psychology from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA. She then went on to earn Masters degrees in Clinical Psychology and Criminal Justice, as well as a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Widener University.
Dr. Machinski is skilled in psychological assessment with children, adolescents, and adults. She has had extensive experience conducting various types of evaluations with individuals involved in the legal system. Following forensic evaluations, Dr. Machinski provides expert witness testimony when necessary.
She has been appointed by the governor of Pennsylvania to the state’s Sexual Offender Assessment Board. As a Sexual Offender Assessment Board Member, Dr. Machinski provides an expert opinion to the Court on the risk presented to the community by convicted sexual offenders.
Dr. Machinski also conducts presentations for attorneys, the media, mental health professionals, etc. in the area of forensic psychology and related topics.
In addition to psychological assessment and consultation, Dr. Machinski also engages in individual psychotherapy with adults, utilizing a cognitive-behavioral approach to treatment to empower her clients to make the desired changes in their lives.
