Dr. Tamara Southerling is a Licensed Psychologist and a Certified School Psychologist. She holds an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Arcadia University and a Ph.D. in School Psychology from Temple University. Dr. Southerling has worked extensively with school-age children in public schools, private schools, therapeutic school settings, and in the behavioral health setting.
Dr. Southerling’s main areas of focus include psychoeducational assessment, individual and group counseling, and consultation. She is particularly skilled in working with those children and adolescents who are experiencing trouble in school, both behaviorally and academically. Helping parents learn strategies to improve their children’s academic performance and manage their children’s behavior at home is one of Dr. Southerling’s passions. She enjoys guiding children and teenagers in identifying their strengths and developing skills to empower each individual to reach his or her potential.
