Dr. Lindsay Haston is a licensed clinical psychologist in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. She has also been granted an Authorization to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT) in 39 additional states. Dr. Haston is experienced in providing assessment for a variety of forensic referral questions as well as for diagnostic clarity and general treatment recommendations. At Dr. Robin Lowey & Associates, Dr. Haston is conducting decertification evaluations with juveniles facing charges in criminal court and comprehensive risk assessments with adolescents and adults involved in criminal proceedings. She is also providing expert reports regarding the psychological functioning of those who are experiencing emotional distress as a result of a trauma and she is offering an expert opinion about parental fitness for adults involved in dependency court proceedings. Dr. Haston is a skilled and compassionate evaluator who is able to communicate complex psychological matters effectively during testimony.
Dr. Haston received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Drexel University and earned her Doctorate of Psychology at Widener University. While at Widener, she completed concentrations in ACT/CBT and forensic psychology. Dr. Haston wrote her dissertation adapting a self-compassion program for juveniles involved in the criminal justice system. She spent her clinical training working in the Philadelphia jail system, in tandem with the Courts, and in inpatient hospital and prison settings. Dr. Haston completed her postdoctoral training in the prison system in Delaware and New Jersey providing both therapy and assessment.
In addition to her assessment work, Dr. Haston has also continued to work in clinical settings providing therapy to adults. She finds that humor and authenticity are crucial to a collaborative relationship in both therapy and assessment. Dr. Haston is thoughtful in her personal and professional life about systemic issues and the longstanding impact they have on mental and physical health.
