Morgan is a masters-level intern supervised by Kai Syversten, Ph.D. and Kevin Myers, LCSW here at Dr. Robin Lowey & Associates. Morgan has her Bachelors degree in Liberal Arts with a minor in Child Development. She is currently working on her Masters degree in Clinical Social Work at Rutger’s University New Brunswick.
Morgan has experience working with children, couples, and families, she is eager to continue to work with children and families, as well as individual adults. Her interests align with an individualized holistic approach as well as a strengths-based approach when working with clients. She is currently studying and would like to utilize person-centered therapy, attachment-based therapy, parts-work therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy with her clients. Morgan approaches her work from a person-in-environment lens, supporting a thorough exploration of client experiences and she is open to working with a diverse set of clients experiencing a range of symptoms and experiences, including those seeking support with anxiety, depression, interpersonal issues, relationship issues, developmental issues, foster care/adoption, parenting, and acting out/anger behaviors.
Morgan views her role as a therapist as assisting clients to work towards fully realizing themselves and living a more authentic life. She focuses on providing a safe and nurturing space, inviting clients to share and explore experiences to reflect on and discover patterns in thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. She has had a profound experience working with her own therapist, which has inspired her to engage in the therapy profession. Morgan’s goal when working with clients it to increase emotional intelligence, gaining tools to ultimately support a sustainable lifestyle that fosters thriving.
