Dr. Kai Syvertsen is a licensed clinical psychologist with over ten years of clinical experience. After attending the University of Connecticut, he earned a PhD at the University of Wyoming and completed an internship at Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital in San Diego.
Trained in cognitive behavioral psychotherapy, and more recently in research-supported mindful techniques, Dr. Syvertsen’s fundamental goal is to heighten each client’s overall happiness. The pain caused by depression, anxiety, trauma, or relationship turmoil can be an opportunity for growth and change. Therapy is a supportive, collaborative journey of shifting unhealthy patterns of thinking and behaving. Our day-to-day lives no longer need to be dominated by loneliness, worry, regret, and longing; but instead joy, calm, connectedness to others, and enthusiasm.
