Nancy Fagan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over four decades of experience working in child welfare, community behavioral health, and various outpatient practices. She earned her master’s degree in social work from Temple University and has held a clinical license since 2002. Although Nancy is comfortable working with individuals of all ages, she finds treating children, teens, and families dealing with behavioral and relationship challenges most rewarding. Her work with children in out-of-home placements has provided her with deep insight into the complexities faced by foster and adoptive families, as well as kinship caregivers. Nancy also enjoys supporting seniors as they cope with feelings of loss and grief related to aging. Nancy uses a variety of therapeutic approaches in her practice. She is strengths-based and goal-focused, utilizing a systems approach that acknowledges the influence of family, friends, and community – both positive and negative. As a trauma-informed therapist, she incorporates Talk Therapy, Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy and she offers diverse strategies to help clients address unproductive thoughts and behaviors. Nancy believes her role is to empower individuals and families to develop their strengths and coping skills to manage everyday stressors effectively.
