News about the spread of the coronavirus has many feeling anxious and has led to the shutdown of schools and other large gathering places in our community. Understandably, many who are able are choosing to stay at home as much as possible. We are staying open and continuing to treat patients here at Dr. Robin Lowey & Associates at this moment and we want address any concerns that you may have about coming to our office.
Firstly, we want to assure you that our office staff has been diligent about sanitizing all surface areas several times per day in order to keep our offices clean and infection-free. We are also asking all therapists, office staff members, and patients to stay home if feeling sick at all.
Should you be feeling sick or if you are just choosing to self-quarantine out of an abundance of caution, you can continue to meet with your therapist virtually. All of our therapists are equipped to do telehealth sessions via doxy.me, a secure HIPPA-compliant video chat platform. Please reach out to your therapist individually or call the main office to talk through how to set up an account for yourself if you are interested in virtual therapy sessions during the pandemic.
The fee rates for telepsychology are the same as those for in-person psychotherapy. We just ask that you use credit card to pay any copay or deductible if utilizing telehealth services. If you do not have a credit card on file with our office, please call in and provide the number to one of our administrative staff members, so that we can get you set up for telehealth sessions.
This is an important time for all of us to practice good self-care. So, please take some deep breaths, speak kindly to yourself and discuss with your therapist the best ways to manage any anxiety you are having around the virus.
