We are eager to announce a new relapse prevention group starting at Dr. Robin Lowey & Associates this year. This is an interactive process and support group for adults in recovery from addiction and substance abuse. At a minimum, the group will meet once per week for two months, but we may continue on thereafter as needed.
Specific topics addressed in the group include:
- Processing and identifying triggers for substance use/ abuse
- Improving relationships/ building a support system
- Development of coping skills
- Improving self-care
- The practice of mindfulness
- Lifestyle change adjustment
- Improving self-esteem
- Cultivating healthy stress reduction skills
