Ms. McIlvain is a clinically trained psychotherapist specializing in the treatment of traumatic stress, anxiety, and depressive disorders. She is passionate about helping clients heal the wounds caused by traumatic experiences, and is trained in multiple evidenced-based, trauma-informed treatment protocols.
Ms. McIlvain worked as a staff psychotherapist at PennMedicine. She has served as Director of Behavioral Health with the Cincinnati Health Network implementing trauma-informed, collaborative care, and was the Director of the Outpatient Clinic at the Trauma Recovery Center at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center where she began her career in mental health.
As a psychotherapist for more than 18 years, Ms. McIlvain has assisted clients by helping them develop coping skills necessary to effectively manage stress and anxiety, alleviate depression symptoms, reduce relationship conflict, and strengthen self-mastery skills. Ms. McIlvain is passionate about facilitating a safe, patient-centered partnership to increase client’s abilities to manage difficult life situations, restore hope, and create a life worth living.
